Exposure!!! Exposure!!! Exposure!!!

Singers, rappers, dancer, producers, songwriters, etc. know that they have to be the best in this industry to even get any kind of deal. Even if that deal flops. You have to offer an unfit label, just as much as you do any solid indie or major label. Labels today are accepting artist now-a-days that do everything themselves. If you're an already packaged artist its quicker to get your album out. Soulja Boy, for example, got his deal after coming up with a catchy songs, loading videos up all the time, keeping in touch with his fans, and promoting his ass off. That cannot be denied. But what Soulja Boy has been criticized for is being a 1 hit wonder and his lack of substance. At the same time, Soulja Boy is now following in the trail of the Gucci Mane. Gucci Mane has been hyped-up my mixtapes(similar to Lil'Wayne) and its also the certain weirdness that he possesses(similar to Lil'Wayne). The reason I say similar to Wayne is because we all know that we sometimes confuse ourselves listening to what they both are saying, but its hot. Rite or wrong??? That same weirdness radiates throughout Rihanna and Lady Gaga. Anywho, all of these artist are smart and they have great teams behind them. Its easier though, for a rapper to continue his career after a commercially failed album than it is for a singer, even harder for a r&b artist. Hip Hop is dominated by males, lack of female rappers putting out material right now. And nobody can explain why. R&B is dominated by 1 female and that is Beyonce. Although Ciara is a close contender. Keri Hilson is dominating radio because of her versatile writing and singing ability, and the hype built up from her before she got a deal. And all of these ladies put in work. We know that. So when you get ready to make your mark on the industry, how much work will you have put in. Of course, there are those artist out there who get deals just because of famous family members. And many times have no talent whatsoever. A good producer can make anyone hot!!! Auto-Tune is dying no time soon because of that fact.

Any unsigned artist or talents looking for exposure. Who don't know where to start in this industry. Who are looking for advice. Who are looking for criticism. Who are trying to get discovered. This is the place to be. Send in your stuff, be it promo material, mixtape/album covers, new singles, tracks u want feedback on, a bio about yourself, or your website links. I promise that in 2010, a featured artist from Unlimited Universe will get contacted by a label. I wrote the passage above to kind of give you my insight on the industry(as I will do often). Cuz if you don't understand what I stand for, then there is no need for you to follow me.

Send your stuff to unsigneduniverse@yahoo.com
